The Temple of Olympian Zeus built by the Philhellene emperor Hadrian (117-132 AD). It was the most monumental and majestic temple dedicated to the father of the gods, Zeus. It had 104 columns, but today only 15 are saved and the 16th is lying on the ground. It is built on ancient temples dedicated to Olympian Zeus. The Athenians of antiquity considered the Sanctuaries of Olympieio to be one of the oldest in the city.
